Our “Rustic” Ossabox is a holiday-exclusive meat box filled with a delicious variety of frozen cuts. With a retail value of $165, each box is now available for just $120 this season. They’re only available for a limited time—pick yours up by December 16, 2025!

**We are very proud of our Ossabaw hog products! Since the pandemic though, we’ve struggled to match the availability of product with shipping logistics and volatile weather patterns. We try to ship only during the months of November-March.

A box changes based on availability. A box may include the following variety:

  • ~2 lbs chops
  • ~2 lbs ribs
  • 2 lbs ossabaw bacon

  • 2 lbs ground pork

Why the Ossabox?

The Ossabaw Island Hog produces some of the most flavorful pork products in the world. The meat is a dark red and the fat is soft, creamy, and high in Omega-3’s. Many call the Ossabaw the walking olive tree. These animals take 18 months to raise correctly, at least twice as long as other pastured hogs. We then hang their hams for another 18 months, resulting in wonderful prosciutto (and some seriously SLOW food).

History

The Ossabaw Island pig came to America when Spanish settlers dropped off their beloved Iberian Hog on the barrier islands of North America. The pigs turned wild and successfully adapted to their islands, in this case, Ossabaw Island, GA. Cane Creek was one of a handful of farms to begin domesticating this breed again, and we now have one of the largest herds anywhere.
